Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Trisha. Following graduation, she will be practicing as an emergency nurse in Columbus. After a few years, she plans to return to school to earn a graduate degree to become a nurse practitioner. While at Witt, Trisha was a member of Gamma Phi Beta. Her favorite Witt memory is of “Nurse-giving” (Thanksgiving) and Secret Santa events which brought the nursing cohort even closer than they already were. Trisha thanks her family, boyfriend, and class for helping her to get through nursing school. We are so proud of you, Trisha! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯

Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Laney. Following graduation, she will be practicing as a neonatal intensive care nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. While at Witt, Laney participated in women’s volleyball. Her favorite Witt memory is creating lifelong friendships. Laney thanks her best friend Emma for believing in her, encouraging her, and sticking with her through every up and down. We are so proud of you, Laney! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯

Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Sydney. Following graduation, she is considering intensive care nursing opportunities and plans to move forward with her lifelong dream of pursuing a singing career in Nashville. Sydney’s favorite Witt memory is of participating in FIRE week with the nursing cohort. Sydney thanks her professors who have supported her and helped her succeed; she also thanks her nursing family for how they have rooted for her in her nursing and music journeys. Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Gabby. Following graduation, she will be practicing as an emergency nurse at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. In the future, Gabby would like to earn a graduate degree to practice as a psychiatric-mental health or geriatric nurse practitioner. While at Witt, she played women’s lacrosse for two years, worked for the football team and men’s lacrosse team, served as senior class president, worked in the nursing simulation laboratory, earned a minor in psychology, and participated as a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. Gabby’s favorite Witt memory is learning and growing with her classmates, such as when Kacey had to brush her teeth for lab! Gabby thanks her parents, Grandma and Grandpa Stern, Coach Owen, and her classmates. We are so proud of you, Gabby! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯

Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Emma. Following graduation, she will be working as a labor and delivery nurse at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s in Columbus. In the future, Emma plans to become a nurse midwife. While at Witt, she was Vice President of Delta Gamma, played women’s soccer, served as a class of 2024 representative, and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. Emma’s favorite Witt memory is getting together with other seniors for a Christmas Secret Santa event followed by karaoke. Emma thanks her parents for always supporting her, especially these last 4 years, as well as the Witt nursing faculty/staff for pushing her to always be her best. Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Morgan. Following graduation, she is open to the many opportunities the nursing profession offers. In the future, Morgan would like to become a nurse practitioner and earn her doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) degree. While at Witt, she participated on the women’s golf team, was a simulation laboratory assistant, served on the Panhellenic Council as Chief Justice for two years, served on the Class of 2024 Student Senate cabinet for three years, and has held multiple positions in Alpha Delta Pi. Morgan’s favorite Witt memory is witnessing a baby being born during her first obstetric clinical experience. Morgan thanks all the friends she’s made at Witt for reminding her it’s OK to have fun in college, the staff for never giving up on her, and her family for their unconditional support. Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Bridget. After graduation, she plans to work as an emergency nurse in Chicago. In the future, Bridget plans to become a nurse practitioner specializing in wound care. Eventually, she aspires to work at a VA hospital caring for veterans who gave so many years of their lives for our freedom. While at Witt, she was involved in women’s basketball during her freshman and sophomore years and served as the National Society of Leadership & Success President for the past two years. Bridget’s favorite Witt memory was giving her first bed bath with Kylee and Laney when they were sophomores, caring for a very kind patient with such high spirits. Bridget thanks her parents for their never-ending support and encouragement, Dr. Gersch for believing in her when she had trouble believing in herself, and Dr. Short, Professor Gilson, Professor Yeager, and Dr. Rebar for pushing her and her cohort to be the best versions of themselves in the profession of nursing. Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Audrey. After graduation, she plans to work as an intensive care or emergency nurse. While at Witt, Audrey was involved in the Student Senate Finance Committee and nursing club. She is the former Collaborations and Programming Chair of Union Board, and has worked as a Theater & Dance costume shop assistant, serving as the costume designer of the Spring 2023 production of Six Years Old by Daphne Silbinger. Audrey’s favorite Witt memories include simulations, lab opportunities, and clinical experiences. Audrey thanks her family for their continued support, as well as her campus supervisors, Witt faculty and staff, and nursing classmates. We are so proud of you, Audrey! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯

Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Mary. After graduation, she plans to work on a family medicine (medical-surgical) unit at the Medical University of South Carolina. In the future, Mary plans to earn a master’s degree in nursing to become a nurse educator or a midwife. While at Witt, she was involved in Alpha Delta Pi, volleyball club, NSLS, University honors, and nursing club. She also was a student employee in the athletic department. Mary’s favorite Witt memories include being part of such a close-knit nursing cohort with amazing classmates, the last nursing simulation, and presenting a poster at OADN in New Orleans. Mary thanks her parents who always made her believe in herself, her siblings who have made her the person she is today, and her friends and boyfriend for being her biggest supporters (especially Colton, Riley, and Siesta Key buddies Morgan and Bailey). Special thanks also go to her hometown best friends Haley and Mel who have encouraged her and kept her going. We are so proud of you, Mary! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯

Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Kylee. After graduation, she plans to work on a cardiac intensive care stepdown unit. In the future, Kylee will be pursuing certification as a diabetic educator. While at Witt, she was involved in women’s basketball, Gamma Phi Beta, and NSLS; she was also a student worker in the nursing laboratory and SAAC. Kylee’s favorite Witt memory was in freshman year when learning to obtain blood pressure; she couldn’t hear anything in her stethoscope when the cuff was applied. She “freaked out” and raised her hand that she heard something (although she didn’t) because she was so nervous. As it turned out, that was the whole purpose of the exercise - nothing can be heard until the cuff is inflated! Kylee thanks her cohort for always being there for her, and being a great support system. She also sends huge thanks to the professors who spent countless hours ensuring that she received an outstanding education and opportunities to grow in her academic experience. We are so proud of you, Kylee! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯
