Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Emma. Following graduation, she will be a neurological intensive care nurse at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. After gaining experience, Emma plans to become a preceptor, charge nurse, nurse educator, or flight nurse while earning as many certifications as possible; she may also consider a graduate degree in the future. While at Witt, Emma played basketball and ran track and field, served as a resident advisor and lead resident advisor, and participated in various Bible studies. She was president of the ASL club, and a member and secretary of SAAC. She volunteered in the emergency department at Mercy Springfield, and with the American Red Cross with their Armed Forces. Emma’s favorite memory of Witt has been participating in post-conferences after clinical, hearing and sharing about clinical experiences, and learning while laughing with each other. Emma would like to thank her parents and grandparents for giving her all their love and support; her siblings for being patient and understanding; her younger sister for hearing about Emma’s crazy stories and silly mistakes, as well as being her breath of fresh air in the whirlwind of nursing school; her professors for believing in her, having patience, helping her find her footing, and realizing her own strength. Witt Nursing is so proud of you, Emma! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯
