Ried lives by the words of Herb Brooks: “Great moments are born from great opportunities.” 💪 His most memorable moment came during the Grennon game his sophomore year—showing the true power of community ❤️

Off the field, Ried enjoys Good Will Hunting 🎬, Game of Thrones 🐉, and listening to 🎶 John Mayer. He looks up to Ted Williams and is a proud fan of the Cleveland Browns 🏈

Congratulations to Braiden Langston, a senior from Northwestern, on being named CBC Athlete of the Month!

Braiden is a standout multi-sport athlete, competing in football and wrestling, where his dedication and competitive spirit shine through. His honors include Sportsmanship Award, 1st Team All-CBC Football, and being a 2-time district qualifier in wrestling. One of his most memorable moments came when he pinned an opponent in the first five seconds of a match to open his junior wrestling season—an unforgettable start!

Braiden lives by the quote: “You can’t cross the sea merely by staring at the water,” a mindset that reflects his work ethic and drive. He credits his parents as the most influential people in his life.

Claire is a senior who showcases her Warrior pride across cheerleading, volleyball, and softball. A true multi-sport standout, she’s earned numerous honors, including:

🥎 Softball: 3-year Varsity Letterman, CBC Sportsmanship Award, Heart & Hustle Award
🏐 Volleyball: 2-year Varsity Letterman, CBC Sportsmanship Award, Positivity Award
📣 Cheer: 2-year Varsity Letterman

Her favorite memory? Winning Districts her junior year in softball — a moment that captured her competitive spirit and love for her teammates.

Off the field, she enjoys math, cheering on the Cincinnati Reds, and dreams of learning to play the electric guitar. After graduation, Claire plans to attend a four-year college to major in Animal Science. 🐾

🏆 Congratulations to the 2025 Northwestern Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees! 🏆

We’re proud to honor three incredible additions to our rich athletic tradition — each leaving a lasting mark on Northwestern history. 💙❤️

🥎 2017 State Final Four Softball Team
This powerhouse squad finished 27-3 overall and 12-1 in league play, earning the Conference Championship! They outscored opponents 264–79 and rattled off 6 straight postseason wins to punch their ticket to Akron, OH for the State Semifinals, where they battled Warren Champion. An unforgettable season of teamwork, grit, and excellence!

🏈⚾ Hunter Houseman (Class of 2014)
A two-sport standout in Football and Baseball, Hunter rewrote the record books! He is most decorated high school football player is program history, as a dual threat quarterback.

Holds all 6 passing records (season & career):
Yards - 2,999 season , 5,376 career
Touchdowns - 25 season, 55 career
Completions - 223 season, 407 career

Holds 2 rushing records (touchdowns).
Season - 14
Career - 26

Total Career yards pass & rush 7,336 yards

In baseball, holds the career hits record (131), most runs (92), and most stolen bases (58)
A true leader and competitor who left an incredible legacy on both the field and the diamond!

A dynamic 3-sport athlete (Football, Basketball, and Track & Field), Korbin’s athleticism stood out in every season.

1st Team All-Ohio Football (2019)

3rd place finish at the State Tournament in Discus (2019)

Averaged double figures in points (11.7) senior year of basketball.

Still holds the school record in Discus: 176'10" 💪
His drive and determination set the standard for future Warriors!

🏅 CBC Athlete of the Month: Xander Stacey! 🏅

Congratulations to Xander Stacey, our CBC Athlete of the Month! Xander is a true all-around athlete for the Northwestern Warriors, contributing in multiple ways on the football field — playing tight end, linebacker, kicker, and punter.

A three-year varsity letterman, Xander’s dedication, versatility, and leadership make him an invaluable part of the Warrior football program. Whether he’s making a big tackle, catching a key pass, or flipping the field with his leg, Xander gives his all every time he steps on the field.

💪 Congrats, Xander! Your hard work and commitment embody what it means to be a Warrior! 💙⚔️

This week the Central Buckeye Conference is kicking off the First Friday Children’s Drive, where all 12 schools in the conference join forces to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House and make a donation in the name of the Central Buckeye Conference. Money raised throughout this conference-wide event will be donated to support a worthwhile cause and impact families in need when they would stay at this facility. This charity gives the comfort of home to families. We hope you will consider giving to this cause and helping the Conference make a difference. The Central Buckeye Conference strives to not only support the athletic teams in our conference, but to also make a difference as a service organization and be proud of helping others. Annually, the Conference has selected an organization and works together as one, to provide service with money raised to impact families.

During the Friday night football game our NW and Tecumseh cheerleaders will move throughout the stands with helmets providing you the opportunity to donate with cash.
