Community members, students, employees and friends of Clark State recently came together to celebrate Evon Walters, Ed.D., and the beginning of his presidency at Clark State College.

The evening was filled with great conversations, new connections and plenty of excitement for what’s ahead. As Dr. Walters begins this new chapter, we’re grateful for a community that continues to show up, invest in our students and believe in Clark State’s future.

Meet Charles Crawford, our Metallica Scholars Student Spotlight honoree. 🤘💙 A dedicated father of two, Charles returned to school to pursue an associate degree in Diesel Technology while balancing work, family and the demands of college. During the 2025-26 academic year, he received almost $3,400 in Metallica Scholars scholarship support, helping him stay focused on building a new future for himself and his family.

In recognition of his determination, Charles will also receive a special gift on behalf of Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation and Wolverine Boots & Apparel.

Congratulations, Charles. Keep putting in the work and turning it up. 🤘🦅
