We are getting ready to start our classes on the 15th! What about everyone else?
Due to the forecast (including a lot more rain and wind) coupled with the flooding already going on in the area we are canceling tomorrow’s Forest Friday.
We are watching the weather for Friday! Please note that if we continue to expect high winds and heavy rain we will have to cancel this week’s scheduled Forest Friday. Please check here for updates on Thursday. 😭💕

We wrapped up our paleontology unit with a field trip to the Missouri Institute of Natural Science!
Next up: Exploration!
A message from our friends at Firefly Nature School. ☺️💕
Please remember to dress in layers today!
It will be warming up a bit as we meet, should be sunny, and low wind… but it will still be on the cooler side. Layers will help everyone stay warm and be able to adjust their comfort. 💕
We can’t wait to see everyone shortly! ☺️💕
TODAY’S SOCIAL MEET HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO UNSAFE ROAD CONDITIONS!!
Keep safe! We’ll see everyone next time! 💕

Our textile and handcraft unit is almost complete! Students have had a wonderful time learning how we harvest and use different fibers, practicing spelling through cross stitching, weaving wall hangings, creating cordage friendship bracelets, and more!
Next month brings us to paleontology! 😍💕

Give Me the Wild Children
give me the wild children
with their bare feet
and sparkling eyes.
the restless,
churning climbers.
the wild ones using their outside voices,
singing all the way home.
give me the wonder-filled, glorious mess makers
dreaming of mountains and mud,
aching to run through a field of stars.
