🚀 Final Day of Springfield Space Week! 🌎✨

Today is all about exploration! Join us as we celebrate an incredible week of discovery and take a look at everything we've experienced together.

🪨 Featured Today: "Space Rocks!" Meteorite Exhibit
Presented by a NASA Solar System Ambassador, this extraordinary traveling exhibit features more than 70 meteorites from across our solar system.

"Space Rocks!" is an extensive traveling meteorite exhibit consisting of over 70 meteorites. The specimens originate mostly from the main asteroid belt between Mars & Jupiter, but also include Mars and several Moon pieces. A few specimens born in the solar nebula predate Earth by several hundred million years to multi billions of years and contain water and amino acids. The exhibit includes very unique colorful meteorites rarely observed by even professional astrophysicists.

Due to weather (cloud cover and rain) we are postponing Astronomy Day today. The cloud cover today prevents us from bringing out our solar telescopes and the forecast of rain this evening will not allow us to have the scheduled star party. We will announce a "sun and star date" in the near future.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for the final day of Springfield Space Week and have a very special meteorite exhibit tomorrow that has never been seen at Gateway but has been displayed at Vanderbilt University and the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. As always, this exhibit will have hands on elements and plenty of chances to ask your questions of an expert who happens to be a NASA Solar System Ambassador with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory!

🚀 What an incredible night! 🚀

A huge thank you to BS Brew Works for their support of Gateway STEM Center during last night's trivia night! The evening was packed with fun, great competition, and community spirit. But what made it even more special was BS Brew Works' generous $1,000 donation to help further STEM education programs throughout Robertson County.

We are grateful for community partners like BS Brew Works who invest in inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers.
