Welcome another (kind of) new staff member to Bissett. Rebekah Thomas was a permanent sub at Bissett last year and will be joining us as our building paraprofessional this year. Today we introduce you to a face who is probably familiar to you. Kristi Potter spent several years at Bisset teaching Instructional Technology. She was relocated to a different site last year, but we are happy to report that she is returning to us this year. We will share her with York Elementary and we are so happy to have her back on campus. Give Ms. Potter a warm Bobcat welcome!

Today’s new staff introduction is Henry Talburt, library clerical. Henry is no stranger to SPS, as he spent all of his elementary, middle school, and high school years attending SPS. We can’t wait to see how he helps us foster a love of reading as we embrace Dr. Lathan’s 417 Reads initiative this year. Mr. Talburt will split his time between Sequiota and Bissett. New teachers have been busy engaging in learning this week. Today they attended personalized learning sessions at Hillcrest with other new SPS educators. They also received support from our building instructional specialists, Rachel Hoing and Aaron Salley.
