For the first time ever, Springfield will host a Regional Cross Country Meet — a state‑qualifying showdown right here at home!

Sixteen teams. Over 100 athletes. Each one chasing a ticket to the State Meet in Colorado Springs on October 31st

Let’s turn the Springfield Golf Course into a sea of red, white, and blue Longhorn pride — line the course, cheer loud, and celebrate our runners as they make history!

🌳 Arbor Day — Celebrating 35 Years!

The Town of Springfield proudly marks 35 years as a Tree City USA community.

Join us for the Arbor Day Celebration at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, at the corner of Tipton and Fifth Avenue on the Springfield School campus.

Kallysa Schroder, District Manager for the Baca County Conservation District, along with District Conservation Technicians Joe Mort and Mikayla Sharpe, will present on the benefits of trees for soil health and animal habitats. Conservationist Kyle Wait will also join in sharing this outstanding program with students.

A Colorado blue spruce will be planted on site to commemorate the occasion.

This will be a grand celebration — the public is invited!
