NORTH WASHINGTON IS GOING BEYOND THE BALLOT!
On Tuesday, October 13th, from 5:30–7:30 PM, North Washington Elementary will host Beyond the Ballot: Patriot Town Hall, a student-centered civic engagement event designed to bring learning, leadership, and our community together.
Our students will take an active role in democracy by conducting a live forum with the candidates for Kentucky’s 14th State Senate District. Students will prepare and ask the questions, hear directly from those seeking to represent our community, and experience firsthand the importance of informed citizenship, respectful dialogue, and civic participation.
The evening will also provide an opportunity for invited candidates seeking local public office to address those in attendance.
But Beyond the Ballot is about much more than an election.
It is about giving our students experiences that reach beyond the classroom. It is about helping them understand their community, encouraging them to ask thoughtful questions, teaching them how to listen to different perspectives, and showing them that their voices matter.
And we are inviting our community to be part of it.
We are now seeking local businesses and organizations to become official sponsors of Beyond the Ballot: Patriot Town Hall.
Sponsorship proceeds will benefit the North Washington Elementary Student Activity Fund, helping provide educational experiences, student programs, enrichment opportunities, rewards, field trips, and other activities for our Patriots.
Depending upon sponsorship level, participating businesses may receive recognition through event signage, school announcements, social media, our school website, reserved event seating, and other opportunities outlined in the sponsorship information below. T-shirt sponsorship begins at the $100 level, with participating businesses receiving recognition on the official event shirt.
