🎉🎉Here we go again! Congrats to our new Teen Leaders for the 2026-2027 school year!

We had our orientation in July, and yesterday was our retreat.

We learned about the REAL COLORS of leadership and students introduced themselves, and discussed many topics such as what they would like to stay the same and what they would like to change in Washington Co.

🎭🎬 Gifted & Talented students at WCMS and NW attended 🧽SpongeBob the Musical at Central Kentucky Theatre last week! We had a barnacle-blasting good time!

That's a wrap on the 2025-2026 Washington Co. Teen Leadership program!

Students spent the last day celebrating with lunch and Activate Games in Lexington. They also did their final assignment, a presentation on a REAL LEADER.

🏅🎉Congrats to all of our juniors and seniors who completed the program! We look forward to seeing you become strong leaders within our community!

Youth Art Contest!

Youth across Kentucky are invited to participate in this year’s creative art contest.

Young artists are encouraged to think creatively about how agriculture shows up in their daily lives and communities, then draw and color in their provided county outline. Each county Extension office will select one winning entry to be featured in a special display at the 2026 Kentucky State Fair.
