Two amazing educators from SICS were recognized for their hard work and dedication on Wednesday, May 20 at the Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Awards. Meaghan Jianaces and Carleigh Ribeiro took center stage for positivity impacting SICS students day in and day out.

The SICS Student Leadership Committee (SLC) recently held a carnival for the elementary students to celebrate completion of the MCAS exams. There were games, snacks, and a petting zoo topped of with a beautiful day!

SICS Elementary is kicking off career week with the EMT's and the Sheriff's department! Room 2 and 4 had a blast!!

SICS will have an EARLY DISMISSAL today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 due to the excessive heat. K-5 will dismiss at noon. 6-12 will dismiss at 10:30. MCAS testing will be delayed by 1 day.

Senior field trip will continue as planned.

Athletics:

The softball game has been moved to 7:00 at Greenfield. The volleyball game is on as scheduled.

All other athletic events are cancelled for tomorrow.

What is Girls On The Run?
“Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others.”
We are lucky to have a Girls On The Run program here at SICS! Recently, the “GOTR” had their practice 5k to get ready for the celebratory end of season 5k at UMASS Amherst on June 6. The SICS Varsity Boys and Girls Track and Field team volunteered time as running buddies for the practice.
