Our Orange Hunt Owl Fun Run was a blast! Our goal was to raise $40,000 for enriching student experiences through arts programs, campus improvements, teacher support, and field trips to benefit our students at Orange Hunt. So far we have raised more than $50,000!
You can still make donations by signing your student up at mybooster.com through next week. Sign up and share the site with friends and family!

Orange Hunt Owls salute our Military Connected families and students during Purple Star Week in Fairfax County Schools. Students celebrated each day with various spirit wear and themes, along with grade level lunch bunches. We learned what it means to be resilient and how to help others who are transitioning into our community.
We celebrate the various ways that make Orange Hunt ES so unique and this is one of them.

We wrapped up Digital Citizenship Week by focusing on Healthy Habits and media balance. Students identified “thinking traps” and learned how to pause and reframe negative thoughts before they spiral.
💡 Family Challenge: Before bed tonight, power down your devices and talk about why balancing screen time with non-tech activities helps everyone feel their best. See if you can catch any “thinking traps” in your conversation—and work together to reframe them!

Our school learned about the power of Human Connection online for Digital Citizenship Week. When we communicate through screens, it’s easy to forget there’s a real person on the other side. Students practiced empathy and learned to repair trust and rebuild friendships after conflict.
💡 Family Challenge: Talk about how it feels to “Name” what went wrong when trust is broken online. Then, make a plan to spread kindness by helping someone who might be confused or left out while using technology.
