There are many ways to keep the kids active and engaged on our walks, however, one of my kids’ favorite activities is a Nature Walk Collection.

It was fun to see how different their bags end up after the walk. After we are done, they show each other their findings while talking about the differences and similarities.

Today we made shape pizzas. We used construction paper shapes to make our pizzas. The shapes were circle 〇, triangle△ ,square ▢, and rectangle ▭. I gave each student their materials, modeled it for them, and then let the little chefs begin. They had a lot of fun making their creations.

Process Art are such an easy activity for children and hold so many benefits to them. This circle art in particular allows them to work on fine motor skills, identifying circles and colors, and explore the environment around them.

We extended this shapes activity by finding more round/circles object around the classroom

Tracing is a way of strengthening fine motor skills it is also one essential activity to prepare the children to write alphabets and numbers in years ahead. The strokes and lines in this activity were varied. There were straight lines, some curvy lines, and some mix of both to ensure the children don’t get bored easily, and to motivate them to keep on tracing.
