“Teacher, there’s a spider inside…” 🥹🦋

And just like that, learning begins.
Today we observed how our caterpillars have transformed into chrysalises. One of the children noticed the silk around them and thought it was a spider web. Together, we explored, observed, and talked about how caterpillars create silk to protect themselves during their transformation.

It is so beautiful watching children discover the world through curiosity, imagination, and their own questions. 🌱
They build knowledge when we give them space to wonder, observe, and express themselves freely.

Let them be little… they will surprise you with all they can learn. 💛

One thing about me as a daycare teacher… I will do the silliest things just to hear my daycare kids laugh. 😂👀💜

Because learning is even more magical when it’s filled with joy, connection, and happy little moments. ✨

Today, our little learners explored the butterfly life cycle in real time and hearing a child confidently say “first cocoon, then butterfly” reminded me how powerful early learning truly is. 💚

And the most exciting part… we’re observing REAL caterpillars as they eat and prepare for their cocoon stage! 🐛✨

Tiny hands, big learning 🐜✨

We turned playdough into a fun fine motor adventure! Our little learner used their fingers to pinch, roll, and create tiny “ants” before placing them carefully on the log. 🪵❤️

You accidentally disturb the anthill at daycare… 🐜🤣
Yesterday our classroom turned into a giant ant colony! The children followed trails around the room collecting food and bringing it back to their anthill one item at a time.

Everything was going perfectly until the anthill suddenly COLLAPSED and my little ants LOST IT 😂🐜

Definitely one of those daycare moments I never want to forget. 💛

Little moments like these make our hearts so full 💛🐞

We practiced counting with our ladybugs, matching each one carefully while building number sense through play. Watching her count with confidence and hearing her excitement was such a proud teacher moment ✨

At the end, a few encouraging words and a big smile reminded her that learning happens one step at a time and she’s doing amazing! 🌱
