RVPS has a Trophy Elk for each grade level class with the best attendance! The students in Ms. Hyer’s, Mrs. Baca’s, and Mrs. Slade’s class were excited to earn the monthly award and take a class photo with the Trophy Elk! Great job to our Lil' Elks!

RVPS students always have a blast during music class and this week we learned many of our students are Dolly Parton fans! Our rockstar music teacher, Mr. Harlan, had everyone grab their rhythm sticks and keep a steady beat to the one and only Dolly Parton’s classic hit, "9 to 5." Dolly would definitely be proud of this hard-working crew! Way to rock the beat Lil’ Elks!

🌟 RVPS Elks Super Star ⭐️

The staff at RVPS is full of wonderful people doing great things to benefit our students. It was hard to make a choice on who to nominate. However, nothing speaks louder than words spoken by a teacher’s former students. Mrs. Turley is often mentioned in my room as being fun, kind, and the favorite teacher. She is loved by students and staff alike for the joy she shares with others. Mrs. Turley is a caring teacher who makes lasting memories with her students. One of the favorites is her “see you later” goodbye song sung as they walk out the door each day. Mrs. Turley is my nominee for the Elk Superstar Award. Nominated by Mrs. Lee.

In Mrs Behrens English class, after reading "Initiation" by Sylvia Plath, students analyzed the heatherbird as a symbol and discovered that it represents individuality. Then, they each made a heatherbird of their own to represent their interests and personalities.

Just one of the great things our students are learning at RVHS.

Go Elks!
