National School Lunch Week
This week is National School Lunch Week, Taste the World. Students at Springdale were served some Italian Fare today. Bon Appetite from the Rollins Elementary Staff!

Mrs. Deann and Mrs. Ashley did not miss even 1 day of work this year. That is some true dedication. Impressive ladies! We sure appreciate you kept us all fed and healthy. And thanks to Mr. Ward for making the cool lunch trays for them!

We’re working hard to make sure families know about Summer EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) — a powerful program designed to help close the summer hunger gap.

When school is out and kids lose access to nutritious school meals, Summer EBT steps in by providing grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children.

- This summer, families will receive a one-time benefit of $120 per eligible child on a pre-loaded card to use for groceries.
- These benefits work alongside other nutrition programs like SNAP, WIC, and local summer meal sites to make sure kids stay fed and fueled all summer long.

Congratulations Jamye Montgomery and Rita McCoy. They were both recognized May 6th at the Classified Employee Banquet.

Jamye Montgomery, Child Nutrition manager of the year, serves at Young Elementary. She is an amazing manager. Her commitment to the students shows everyday as she manages each aspect of the cafeteria with professionalism and a contagious positive attitude.

Rita McCoy, Child Nutrition worker of the year, serves at Jones Elementary. Rita is known for helping wherever she is needed. She is a leader amongst her peers. Her dedication for the past 19 years has been a blessing to the students and staff.

Thank you ladies. You deserved to be recognized. You are both shining stars!
