Dear Springdale Community,
Our local athletes and sports programs thrive because of your generous support. However, high school and youth athletic programs across the region continue to see an increase in fraudulent solicitations and online scams.
To protect your donations and financial information, we ask that you always verify the legitimacy of any fundraiser, sponsorship request, or streaming service before sending funds.
Verification Checklist: "Check Before You Give"
Before writing a check, providing credit card info, or signing a sponsorship agreement:
Verify the Request: Contact the Springdale Athletic Department or the head coach of the specific team being promoted to confirm that the fundraiser is officially authorized.
Check the Payee: Checks should generally be made payable directly to the official school district, school athletic department, or recognized booster organization—never to an unfamiliar individual or independent third-party company.
Official Live-Streaming Only: Access game streams strictly through official district channels or verified platforms (such as the official Springdale Athletics or Springdale Athletic Foundation social pages, or the NFHS Network). Never enter payment details on random comment links.
If you receive a suspicious request or believe you have been contacted by an unauthorized solicitor, please contact the Springdale Athletic Department directly to report it before making a donation or pledge.
Thank you for your vigilance and unwavering support of Springdale student-athletes.
Sincerely,
Springdale Athletic Department
