Springdale School District: Return to School Friday, January 30, 2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Springdale Schools will return to school tomorrow, Friday, January 30, 2026, including all bus routes running as normally scheduled. As we prepare to welcome students back, we want to share important information regarding road conditions and attendance.
Gratitude for Local Efforts
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to ARDOT, Washington County Officials, and City Officials. Their tireless efforts have ensured that main roads and most outlying paved roads are clear for major traffic.
Safety and Road Conditions
While major routes are clear, we recognize that many interior subdivision roads, side streets, Greenway, and city sidewalks still have accumulated snow or ice. Although the sun and warmer temperatures over the last 48 hours have significantly improved conditions, we know some areas remain a concern.
Because district officials cannot monitor every individual street, we are asking for your partnership:
Parental Discretion: We rely on parents to make the final decision regarding their child’s attendance based on the specific travel conditions in your neighborhood.
Communication: If you determine that travel is unsafe and your child cannot attend, please contact your school through their communication platform.
Safe Travel: Please allow yourself extra time on Friday morning. Your safety is more important than a few extra minutes of commute time.
Our Commitment to You
We know this weather event has been difficult and has disrupted both your family's routine and your child's education. Our primary focus remains serving our students and community at the highest level.
Thank you for your patience and resilience. We look forward to seeing our wonderful students and staff.
Stay safe and travel carefully.
