🐗 NATIONAL SEMI-FINALISTS! 🐗

We are incredibly proud to announce that Lakeside EAST has been named a National Semi-Finalist in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Competition!

These students have spent months working with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and researchers from the University of Florida to solve a massive agricultural problem using Artificial Intelligence.

Hog Watch: Feral hogs cause billions in damage every year. Our team built a custom AI model that connects to trap cameras. It “learns” to identify hogs vs. other wildlife, filtering out false alarms and notifying landowners only when it’s time to trigger the trap. It’s smart conservation powered by student innovation.

It’s a great day to be a Golden Eagle! A group of our students created a weather app that alerts users of severe weather with light rather than sound. Their work was recognized as the Arkansas state winner of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition! We can’t wait to complete our app and compete against the other 49 state winners!!
