Outdoor play, even in cooler temperatures, boosts children’s physical health, mood, and immune function. Fresh air and movement are good for everyone!

Bundle up—hats, coats, and gloves—and let children explore and learn safely outdoors.

Stay active, stay dry, and watch the wind chill.

Reduce or limit outdoor time and watch for:
• Red, numb, or pale skin
• Ongoing shivering
• Slowed movements or clumsiness
• Complaints of “hurting” or “stinging” hands or feet
