Hi Southwest Jr. High family! My name is Verenice Anguiano, and I’m thrilled to join the team as your new school social worker. This will be my 6th year as a social worker with Springdale Schools, and I’m so excited to continue supporting our students, families, and staff. My goal is always to ensure every student feels supported, heard, and equipped with the tools to succeed both socially and academically.

Outside of work, you can usually find me reading, camping, and spending time with my family. I look forward to an amazing school year together!

📣 SWJH Chromebook Pick-Up Event!💻🧡💙

Southwest Junior High students and families, it’s time to get ready for the school year! Our Chromebook Pick-Up event will be held on:

📅 Friday, August 7
⏰ 9:30 AM–12:00 PM and 1:30 PM–3:30 PM

Before arriving, please make sure the following items are completed:

✅ Technology Acceptable Use Agreement has been completed
✅ All outstanding Chromebook fees have been paid

Students who have not completed the Technology Acceptable Use Agreement or who have outstanding Chromebook fees will not be able to pick up their Chromebook until those requirements have been met.

Thank you for helping us make the Chromebook distribution process quick and smooth for everyone! We look forward to seeing our Cougars and getting everyone prepared for a great school year. 🧡💙

What an incredible way to kick off the new school year! Today was filled with learning, collaboration, and the excitement of welcoming our amazing staff back to Southwest Junior High. 🧡💙

A huge thank you to Troop 777 and their families for spending part of their weekend refreshing our front flowerbeds and helping make our campus beautiful for the start of school. Your hard work and service created a welcoming environment for our students, staff, and families.

We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to Springdale First Assembly for providing a delicious breakfast for our staff this morning. Your generosity was the perfect way to begin the day!
