Paula M. (Mazzoli) Holmes
SPRINGDALE
Paula M. (Mazzoli) Holmes, 72, of Springdale, passed away Saturday, Dec., 9, 2023, at home. She was born April 10, 1951, to her parents, the late Luigi and Domenica Angelisanti Mazzoli, and has been a lifelong resident of the community. Paula graduated from Springdale High School, Class of 1969, and after high school she attended Citizens School of Nursing, where she received her registered nursing degree, and worked for Citizens General Hospital, where she eventually retired. Mrs. Holmes was a devout member of St. Alphonsus Church, Springdale, where she was a member of Parish Council, Mother’s Club and the choir. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, crafting, and gardening, but she especially loved spending time with her family. Surviving is her loving husband of 51 years, Buddy Holmes; son, David (Allison) Holmes, of Natrona Heights; daughter, Christina (Chris) Race, of Virginia; grandson, Jacob Race; sister, Vickie Roolf; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Louis Mazzoli. Friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Dec. 13, 2023. in Blessed Sacrament Church/Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights.
