What happens when you’re carrying everything in your hands from class to class? 📚✏️

Students in Dr. Jones' Design Class experienced the frustration firsthand: dropping their belongings, losing small items, and struggling to keep everything organized. Then came the challenge: design a solution.

Students stepped into the role of designers, using the design process to identify a real problem, brainstorm ideas, develop solutions, and think critically about what would actually work.

This wasn’t just about making something. It was about empathy, problem solving, creativity, and designing with a purpose.

Because sometimes the best learning starts with a very real problem: “Where did I put my keys?” 🔑🔑

We’re putting together a Nacho Bar for our amazing teachers on Wednesday night, October 7, during Parent/Teacher Conferences—and we’d love your help! ❤️💙

Families are invited to volunteer by donating food or supplies to help make this special meal possible. Donations can be dropped off in the school office anytime beginning Monday.

Every donation, big or small, will help us show our teachers just how much we appreciate all they do for our students each and every day! 🥰

SAVE THE DATE!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 7, from 4:15–7:15 p.m.

Parents may choose one of two conference rotations each evening:

Rotation 1: 4:15–5:15 p.m.
Parent Participation Meeting: 5:30–6:00 p.m.
Rotation 2: 6:15–7:15 p.m.

During each rotation, parents will attend their student’s classes and have an opportunity to meet with their teachers.

You may attend either rotation on either day, based on what works best for your family.

We also encourage you to join us for our monthly Parent Participation Meeting from 5:30–6:00 p.m. These meetings are an important part of building a strong partnership between our families and faculty—working together to help our students succeed both in school and in life.
