What an incredible week in Little Rock 💚
Thank you to The Excel Center network for giving Goodwill Arkansas the opportunity to host this year’s National Excel Center Conference for educators, staff, and leaders from across the country.
This conference was a powerful reminder that adult education changes lives. When communities come together to support second chances, the impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
A special thank you to Arkansas Secretary for the Department of Education Jacob Oliva and Dr. Darrell Smith for sharing their encouragement and passion for workforce development and adult learners across Arkansas and beyond.
One of the most moving moments came from hearing former Excel Center graduates Melvin Williams and Laura Cartagena share their personal journeys. Their stories reminded everyone in the room that it’s never too late to earn your diploma, build a new future, and create opportunities for yourself and your family.
And here’s the part that makes this mission even more meaningful: every time you shop or donate at Goodwill Arkansas, you help make programs like The Excel Center possible right here in our communities. Your support helps provide tuition-free high school diplomas, life coaches, transportation assistance, childcare support, and pathways to employment and higher education for Arkansans working toward a better future.
Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, supported, donated, and believed in this mission. Together, we are changing lives through education, training, and employment. 💙
