A parent asked me recently,
“How do I know if a piano school is the right fit for my child?” 🎹
It’s a good question because learning piano isn’t just about finding someone who can teach the notes.
Children learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again.
A good piano school should give students structure and clear instruction, but it should also recognize that every child learns differently.
Some students need more repetition. Some move quickly. Some are naturally confident at the piano, while others need a little more time before they feel comfortable playing in front of someone.
That’s why I think the right learning environment matters so much.
Your child should be challenged, but not constantly frustrated. They should be making progress, but they should also still enjoy sitting down at the piano.
Because years from now, I don't just want a student to remember the songs they learned.
I want them to remember that learning piano was something they enjoyed. ❤️🎹
