How can Klein proactively fight climate change and future pandemics? Promoting Education Across the Country (PEAC) (https://www.peacusa.org/) believes that putting power in the hands of youth is an important part of the solution.

That’s why PEAC is hosting a city-wide ideathon for high-schoolers to propose solutions to Houston’s city leaders on topics of Climate Change and the COVID-19 pandemic.

In their biggest event yet, they are partnering with UNICEF, and the City of Houston’s Offices of Education and Sustainability to empower Houston and Klein's youth to begin action on city and global issues.

PEAC will award the top 3 teams fellowships to turn their proposal into a real-life project along with other prizes! If you're a high school student, sign-up for this opportunity NOW! Everyone else, PLEASE send ~ bit.ly/peacideathon ~ to high school students you know so they can get involved.

Disclaimer: No prior policy experience required---we will have mentors available to help students on the day of the event.
