Our summer programs blend fun with skill development, promoting safety and confidence for kids AND adults of all ages.

This one is worth saving. When it comes to swimwear color, bright and bold is always the safer choice in the water. Pink, yellow, orange, green. Colors that pop are colors that are easy to track in a pool or open water. White, grey, light blue and black tend to disappear underwater faster than you would think. It is one of those small things that does not seem like a big deal until it is. 💙

Something parents do not always realize is how much mental growth happens alongside the physical in swim lessons. A child learning to swim is also learning how to handle frustration, try something uncomfortable, and keep going when progress feels slow. Those are not small things. The water is one of the best environments for building that kind of resilience in a child because it asks something real of them every single session. 💙

Worth knowing: studies in child development consistently show that physical activities requiring skill progression, like swimming, have a measurable positive impact on a child’s self confidence and emotional regulation.

May the 4th be with you! 🎉 Fun fact for today ⬇️

The Artemis II crew just made history. And long before any of that happened, they were in a pool learning to float, breathe, and stay calm in a place that felt completely unfamiliar. Water has a way of teaching people things nothing else can. At FINS, that is the whole idea. Every level named after a galaxy, every lesson building something that goes way beyond swimming. 🚀🌊

Out here near Riley Fuzzel, summer can get hot fast and there are very few better ways to stay active than in the water. Our Aqua Fitness adult classes are 45 minutes of low impact, instructor led movement set to music. Hard enough to feel it, easy enough on your joints to keep coming back. Message us for availability. ☀️

Worth knowing: water workouts are one of the most recommended forms of exercise for adults looking for joint friendly cardio that still delivers real results.

Out here near the Spring Creek Greenway and Riley Fuzzel, a lot of families spend summer weekends near the water in some form. It’s a great time to make sure your kids know the basics. Swim with a buddy, never go in unsupervised, never run around the pool, and know where the shallow end starts. Small reminders that carry a lot of weight. 💙
