***HOMEMADE SIGNS IN FRONT OF World Champions Centre FOR SIMONE AND JORDAN - NEEDS TO BE UP BY FRIDAY***

I have gotten approval from Nellie Biles to allow our community to put up homemade signs up for Simone and Jordan at the gym. Simone and Jordan return from Tokyo on Thursday, so signs should be up by then.

Your signs may go in the grass where the red rectangle I drew is. If there is no more room in the red area, than the blue rectangle and circle are the "overflow" sign locations.

Please be mindful I got permission to do this and it is still private property, so be respectful of their property, place signs where I have labeled and do NOT take or move other people's signs. Also, park in the parking lot to put in your sign do NOT block Birnham Woods as there is a fire station right there.

While we couldn't do a parade this time, I feel like this is a nice and safe alternative to show appreciation. Let's show Simone her hometown supports her! Also Jordan Chiles we appreciate her as well!!

Feel free to share around our area, the more signs the better!

We are excited to announce the new addition to The Academy at WCC's faculty, Jessica Maxwell! Jessica will be focused on Elementary ELA and Social Studies. We look forward to the growth our scholars will see as Ms. Shauna and Ms. Jessica team up to provide curriculum, resources, and hands-on activities that are both challenging and fun for our scholar community.

"It is an honor to be a member of the teaching team at The Academy at World Champions Centre!

I have 7 years of classroom experience at Public schools in Kansas and Nebraska.  For the past three years I have homeschooled my children and taught virtual English courses to students abroad.  

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and English as a Second Language Endorsement at Kansas State University.  I continued my education and earned a Masters of Education (Curriculum and Instruction) from Doane College. I have a passion for teaching and helping children cultivate a love for learning. I pride myself on the ability to foster meaningful relationships with students; allowing me to individualize learning material to meet the students emotional and academic needs.

Our last day of school was celebrated by going on a field trip to the Houston Natural Science Museum. With beautiful sunshine and breezes, we also enjoyed the outdoors with activities and games at the nearby park. The scholars mentioned that they really enjoyed themselves.

“Thank you” to the moms who chaperoned!

The 7th Grade Promotion Ceremony was beautiful! We can’t express enough how proud we are of these intelligent and talented scholars. The “Big Sisters” (Jr. High scholars) had a chance to reveal themselves to their “Little Sisters.”
