We save lives
Learning to drive is not a rite of passage. It’s not an online game or cool app. It’s a learned skill-set. Driving is the only dangerous thing most people do every day, and it requires a certain skill level if you want to survive today’s challenging roadways. You don’t become a safe driver by getting a driver’s license. You become a safe driver by spending hours of time practicing in the car with a certified professional driving instructor. Take your Driver Training seriously. We respect how busy you are, but we also know you want what’s best for your family or employees without sacrificing the quality of your Driver Training services. SafeWay Driving is the only local Driver Training service that offers you the convenience of an engaging, disciplined online driving course integrated with the very best professional in-car training in Texas. Handle everything from your computer except the driving, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are not sacrificing quality. Each SafeWay Driving business is locally owned and operated in your neighborhood, offering you the quality of our industry leading training with the convenience and personal attention that comes from a local business who genuinely cares about the safety of your community. LATEST NEWS: DPS Increases Enforcement, Offers Tips for a Safe Super Bowl Sunday
AUSTIN – Super Bowl LVI may feature the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, but the real winners of the game will be those who put safety first in their plans to watch the big game. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is reminding the public that no matter what your plans are for the Super Bowl to please enjoy it responsibly.
DPS Troopers will increase patrols throughout the day on Sunday, Feb. 13, from 12:01 a.m. until midnight as part of the nationwide CARE (Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort) initiative. Troopers will be looking for drivers who violate the law, including those who are speeding, driving under the influence and people who are not wearing their seat belts.

🚨🏈🚨DPS Urges Safety on Super Bowl Sunday
All Texans are encouraged to enjoy the biggest sporting event of the year responsibly.
Below are safety tips for Super Bowl Sunday:
🏈Don’t drink and drive. If you plan to have alcohol outside of your home, designate a driver or take alternate transportation.
🏈Move Over or Slow Down for police, fire, EMS, Texas Department of Transportation vehicles and tow trucks stopped on the side of the road with emergency lights activated. Show the same courtesy to fellow drivers who are stopped.
🏈Slow down, especially in bad weather, heavy traffic, unfamiliar areas or construction zones.
🏈Buckle up everyone in the vehicle — it’s the law.
🏈Eliminate distractions while driving, including the use of mobile devices.
🏈Texas law prohibits the use of portable wireless devices to read, write or send an electronic message unless the vehicle is stopped. Also, if you’re using a navigation device or app, have a passenger operate it so you can keep your eyes on the road.
🏈If you can Steer It, Clear It. If you are involved in a non-injury crash and your vehicle can be moved, clear the traffic lanes. On some highways, if you don’t move your vehicle when it’s safe to do so, it’s against the law.
🏈Don’t drive fatigued — allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
🏈Monitor weather and road conditions wherever you are traveling. For road conditions and closures in Texas, visit Drive Texas.

🚨 20,160 people died in motor vehicle crashes in the first half of this year. That’s the most the nation has seen in that time period since 2006.
Be a part in decreasing this number by always wearing a seat belt, avoiding distractions, saying no to road rage, obeying traffic laws, and never driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

🚌 With school starting back up again, we can expect more school buses operating on Texas roads.
It is illegal to pass a school bus actively loading or unloading passengers. Passing on either side of the school bus can lead to a fine anywhere from $500 to $1250 or more in Texas.
Obey speed zones with flashing school zone lights and signs. If not, you may receive a $200 fine.

One of the important steps of preparing to drive is ensuring all items in the interior of your car are stowed away and less likely to become a potential projectile in the case of a collision. But don’t forget about one of the most important cargo you may be overlooking – your furry friend! Protect yourself and your pooch by securing your dog with a special dog seat belt and compatible harness.
