Winter Weather Update #4

After meeting with weather officials and inspecting our buildings and local roads, Klein ISD schools and facilities will be OPEN for normal operations Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Coaches and sponsors will follow up this week with details about any events that were postponed or rescheduled during the winter weather.

We appreciate your patience and partnership when we navigate weather events together. We look forward to seeing our students and staff back at school tomorrow!

Winter Weather Update #3

We hope everyone is staying safe and warm.

While students and staff remain at home on Monday, we will continue to assess our schools, facilities, and local roads to ensure conditions are safe for a possible return on Tuesday, January 27. We will also consult again with local weather experts and emergency management partners on Monday afternoon.

We will announce Tuesday’s plan as soon as possible and no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, January 26.

Summerfield Academy follows KISD’s inclement weather closings and will be closed Monday, January 26th. Please keep an eye on Tuesday’s forecast and stay warm.

Winter Weather Update #2 - As always, our priority is to Keep Klein Safe. Due to extreme winter weather and dangerous road conditions forecasted for our area, school is canceled on Monday, January 26, 2026. Events will be rescheduled whenever possible.

We are monitoring the winter weather expected in our area this weekend. Out of an abundance of caution and to reduce travel, the following changes have been made to help Keep Klein Safe:

1. All weekend district and campus events originally scheduled for Saturday or Sunday have been either rescheduled or postponed.

2. This includes athletic events. Please contact your coach or sponsor for details or questions.

3. High School musicals are also being rescheduled. Directors will contact cast, crew, and families with new dates.

At this time, there are no changes to the school schedule for next week.

Our garage sale over the weekend was a huge success! It was also nice to be able to visit with people and families from the community. After the weekend, we donated a large container to the Interfaith Hand Me Up Shop and 14 bags of maternity/nursing clothes, kids clothes, baby items and toys to the Montgomery County Women’s Shelter!

Don't forget!!! Summerfield Academy is opening its doors to the community this Sunday, Oct. 20th from 11am-2pm and hosting a Community Open House. During the open house, we will be giving private tours, answering questions, and registering families wanting to take the next step in their child’s educational future. Summerfield will be waiving the registration fee and giving new families the first week of tuition free for those who decide to register during the Open House! That’s over a $480+ value!
