Summerfield Academy

Summerfield Academy

We will miss all the kiddos during this time. We hope everyone stays safe and we can’t wait to see everyone again soon. Here is something Scholastic is offering to keep kiddos entertained while still learning during this off time from school.

Wow! This place is a total joke. The individuals that they allow to watch their children is ridiculous. I cannot believe the treatment my sister received when going up there. If the people watching the kids would threaten her, imagine the threat they pose to the children they’re watching and care for.
I am missing my friends at Summerfield! Not only did my son flourish and thrive for 3 years, but I found comfort and friends in the people who work here. A MILLION THANKS are not enough to Ms. Gabbi, Ms Zabdi, Ms Mercedes, Ms Silvia, Ms Kaitlyn, and special love to Ms April, Ms Christine, and Ms Terry.
Did yall flood? Is the school ok?

[07/13/20]   ANNOUNCEMENT! Offering a Full Time Schoolers Program for Fall 2020

As we all anticipate the opening of school this fall and making decisions for your children and family, we also have been working on a plan moving forward. We’ve been closely monitoring our local school districts and are aware that they have all come out with two options for the fall for your children.

We wanted to let everyone know that we will be opening our Schoolers classroom full time in the fall to assist your school-aged children with their online virtual learning in a safe and controlled environment. In addition to what the public schools are offering, this is a third option for our families who are not completely comfortable sending their children to public school, but don’t necessarily have the time or means to home school their children.

If you or anyone you know has school-aged children and needs another option, please share with them what we are offering here at Summerfield. If interested, please each out to us for more information or questions about our full time schoolers program for this fall. We understand that parents with school-aged children are having to make a difficult decision for your family and children this fall. Hopefully we can ease your mind and make it a little easier!

Summerfield Academy has received the Best of 2020 Spring Award for Preschools! Yay!

Happy teacher appreciation week! This week we celebrated all the amazing teachers at Summerfield. I couldn’t be more proud of my staff...I’m extremely blessed and lucky to have each and every one of them. We ended the week with a breakfast buffet that I made special for them. It was delicious!

Klein ISD

Klein ISD will remain closed Wednesday, January 17, 2018, due to the dangerous road conditions forecasted to continue overnight and into tomorrow.

All after school activities are also cancelled.

Stay safe!

Summerfield Academy will be closed tomorrow, Jan. 16th due to the winter storm.

Harris County officials have advised school districts that potentially dangerous icy conditions are expected for our area beginning Tuesday, mid-morning and possibly continuing overnight. Klein ISD and other area school districts have determined that school will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, for the safety of our students and staff.

All after school activities including the Board meeting are canceled.

[08/30/17]   Summerfield Academy will open with limited staff tomorrow Thursday August 31 and Friday September 1st. Tuition will not be charged for those families that do not attend this week and a daily rate will apply for Thursday and Friday. Please comment and let us know if your child will attend so that we can staff accordingly. Hope everyone is safe.

Klein ISD

ATTENTION: In cooperation with Harris County officials and other county school districts, Klein ISD is closing schools for the remainder of the week. This decision is made out of an abundance of caution for the life safety of our families due to the widespread nature of this catastrophic event. It will also allow the opportunity for local school districts to assist with sheltering those most impacted by the storm. We will not have information on makeup days until after Labor Day. Please stay safe and off the roads and we will see you on Tuesday, September 5.

Klein ISD

UPDATE FROM THE DISTRICT: Klein ISD, in conjunction with other area school districts, will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. Road conditions continue to deteriorate and more rain is expected today and over the next few days. Klein families, please stay safe and heed the warnings released by county authorities. We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates as warranted.

Summerfield Academy will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 25th. We follow the Klein ISD inclement weather postings. Please tune in to the local news for potential closings early next week.

In concert with other Greater Houston area school districts, Klein ISD will be closed on Friday. This will allow our families adequate time to prepare for this storm and provides local officials time to prepare the region for this major hurricane. Staff should not report on Friday with the exception of essential personnel performing critical operations in preparation for the storm. The district will announce a decision regarding Monday no later than 4 pm on Sunday.

[05/13/16]   Dear Summerfield Parents,

Thank you for your patience during the construction process at the school. We know the last month has been a bit hectic however, we appreciate everyone's understanding and patience with the ongoing improvements at Summerfield Academy. Unfortunately, the recent weather conditions delayed the progress. Although these devastating events were out of our control, the Summerfield team prevailed in making the necessary accommodations to ensure that the school was the safe, wonderful, creative & excellent academic environment that everyone has grown accustomed. Extra-curricular activities continued as planned & the young minds occupying the classroom were actively expanding.

With that said, we are happy to let you know that the expansion is in the final phases & playground is open again! All of the Summerfield Children were able to go outside today, run around, have fun & enjoy the beautiful day!

Thank you again for your understanding & patience throughout the entirety of this exciting process.

We look forward to seeing all of our Summerfield Children tomorrow & appreciate all of our awesome Summerfield families!

I'm so fortunate to have a school full of amazing teachers who work tirelessly each and every day to teach, love and nurture the children at Summerfield Academy! Summerfield would not be the wonderful school it is today without the love and support of these incredible teachers and for that I honor them this week and everyday after!

[04/21/16]   Summerfield will be open the rest of this week (Thursday and Friday) for regular business hours despite if Klein ISD is closed or not. We're looking forward to seeing more of our little smiling faces tomorrow at school!

[04/20/16]   Hello Parents,

Wow, what a week! We hope you and your families have survived this weather and are safe and dry. We are posting this in an effort to keep you up to date on our tentative plans for the week. Typically Summerfield follows Klein ISD’s inclement weather postings although this week we are making an exception for those families that need care. We will be open Wednesday April 20th and make a decision according to how the areas are around where our staff live and whether or not they are able to get in and out safely as soon as we can for Thursday and Friday. Please check under comments on our page for notifications or call the school, if there is no answer, we are closed. We are trying to figure out tuition for this week and will let you know. No auto payments will be made until a decision has been reached.

Also if any of our families have experienced flooding or damage, please let us know we would like to help in any way we can. Stay safe.

[02/01/16]   Happy 31st Birthday to Summerfield Academy!

This holiday season, the Summerfield Academy Staff decided to adopt a family (5 children and a single mother) in lieu of purchasing gifts for each other. We raised enough money to buy shoes, clothes, toys, bedding, a space heater, diapers/wipes, stockings full of goodies and other little gifts for the family. It's heartwarming to know that because of the caring staff here at Summerfield, a family less fortunate than ourselves is going to have a blessed Christmas this year!
