It’s almost timeeeee. Ride-a-Thon will be here before we know it! 🚲🛴🦽🦼

If you have a business and are interested in supporting Journey School, sponsorships are OPEN! We moved into our current spot 3 years ago but have our sights set on putting down roots and securing our very own place and we would love to partner with you to do this!

Our student fan pages will be up and running later this week but the t-shirt sponsorship deadline closes soon, so businesses - don’t wait! Message us or comment here to get your name on the list!

We are so sad to make this announcement, because we were REALLY looking forward to hanging out with y'all tomorrow, but due to the projected forecast that this wild spring weather has given us, we will be postponing our Ride-A-Thon! We want to keep all our riders and guests safe, so stay tuned for our updated date.

It's a beautiful day for another Student Spotlight! Meet Jackson!

"We love Journey School for so many reasons! Watching Jackson grow and gain self-confidence while participating in things we never thought possible (like guitar lessons and feeding the school chickens!) has been such an amazing blessing! Jackson loves going to school now, which hasn't always been the case throughout his journey. He loves math, art, and PE with his friends! Knowing he is at a place where he is not only educated but respected, valued for who he is, and truly loved and prayed for each day is a gift."

"Because of this amazing school and all the amazing people in it Colton gets to do things like, yoga and art class and music. He gets to feed chickens and go on field trips. Something I never thought he would get a chance to do. He gets to go to PE class where he learns to jump and use the monkey bars. He gets to clean up the classroom (because he loves to help) he gets to have friends and learn something new every day. He is loved and cared for. He is cherished for just the kid he is. We love sharing about the different programs and all that Journey School has to offer, but even more, we love sharing the faces of Journey School. "We stumbled upon Journey School 3 summers ago and knew right away that this was the kind of place we wanted for Benjamin - a place where he is cared for, seen for who he is and uses his unique gifts and abilities to help develop his character even more. He has grown leaps and bounds in his communication, attention to detail, ability to focus and overall cognition. He loves going to school and we are confident in knowing that he is receiving the very best care and education, that is uniquely and lovingly designed for him. A new program for Journey School this year is our CHICKENS! 🐓 Many of our students are nonverbal but guess what? You don't need words to care for and connect with chickens! Our students take turns each week feeding the chickens and gathering eggs and as they do so, they are learning to care for others. Caring for animals sparks curiosity, empathy, environmental awareness, working together, responsibility, connection with nature and so much more. One of our students took this project even further and used the eggs to bake banana bread! This leads to conversations about math, measurement and nutrition. Our chicken program is more than just chickens and we love that we are able to offer these opportunities to our students!
