I have a few openings available in my home daycare!

I’m currently looking for full-time kiddos, Pre-K and younger. With school starting this fall, I have several infant and toddler openings available.

First available start date: August 17!

🍎 What’s included:
• Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided daily (please no outside food)
• Group birthday treats and special treats are always welcome!
• A dependable substitute and assistants
• A safe, loving, home-like environment where kids get to be kids

We don’t follow a formal curriculum. Instead, our days are filled with music, dancing, books, letters, creative play, outdoor adventures, cuddles when they’re needed, and plenty of imagination. The older kids love safe, supervised horseplay, and we focus on learning through everyday experiences, conversation, and play.

A little about me:
• Mom of five for the past 20 years
• Foster/Guidance parent
• Over 10 years in the medical field and healthcare before opening my daycare
• Proudly serving families through Giggles & Grins for the past 3 years
• Draft of my daycare contract available to review before enrollment

Confessions of a daycare provider:

Today was Fun Friday.
The kids had fun. I had fun.
Then one kid had what can only be described as a complete diaper failure. Or just the right positioning?
Not an ounce made it into the diaper. Not one.
There was p**p on the floor. P**p on little feet. P**p where p**p had absolutely no business being.
Sensory nightmare for me, full exploration for him.

So if you’re wondering what inspired me to carpet clean my floors this weekend, it wasn’t Pinterest or tik tok.
It was baby trauma.

Daycare project:

I want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry 🤍

They have truly gone above and beyond for Giggles and Grins and, more importantly, for the babies in my care.

Running a daycare means making sure every child is fed, cared for, and supported, and they have stepped in with such generosity and kindness to help make that possible. This isn’t just food… this is full bellies, comfort, and care for these little ones.

As someone who pours everything into these kids, I can’t even put into words how much this support means.

It takes a village and they have been a big part of ours 💕
