Hi and hello,
t's been quite a while since I have sent out an audio link to one of my Torah classes as we have had a bit of a break in our weekly Torah Learning Circle, but we are now back on track, Baruch Hashem!
This week's class centers on the Exodus story as a lesson on how to get out of any spiritual limitations or constricted places. The Hebrew word for Egypt is "Mitzraim" which shares the same letters with the word "Meitzarim" which means boundary or limitation.
Another interesting play on words that is very interesting is that the Hebrew word for exile is Golah, while the word for Redemption is Geula.... in Hebrew these words share the exact same letters except that the word for Redemption has an "Aleph" which the word Golah does not have! Exile and Redemption can look exactly the same, except being present to the aleph.... the letter that symbolizes G-d and Oneness makes all the difference !
I hope you enjoy the class, which also features a deeper look at each of the 10 plagues.
The Exodus from Egypt acts as a prototype for us leaving all kinds of limitations and states of constricted consciousness.... listen to the process of the Jews being redeemed from their slavery with
