Today is the day of the 4-6 and K-3 Kingsland Elementary concerts! Doors for the 4-6 concert (12:45pm start) will open at 12:30pm. Please enter through the High School main doors. The K-3 concert (1:45pm start) doors will open following the conclusion of the 4-6 concert. Please enter through the same doors. We look forward to presenting the wonderful music!

Later this evening, head to the Spring Valley Community Center to watch Kingsland Drama’s musical Stepsisters, as 6th through 12th graders take the stage in this hilarious musical comedy! If you can’t make it tonight (7:00pm), come by Saturday (7:00pm) or Sunday (3:00pm). See below for information on tickets. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to these fine musicians who participated in the Southeast Minnesota Band Directors Association honor band for first and second year players. The festival took place at Lakeville North High School. They rehearsed from 8:30 to 11:30 and performed at Noon.

Kingsland Elementary has had some busy music students the last two weeks! Saturday, March 21, Kingsland had three students participate in the Southeast Honors Choirs of Minnesota Singsation Festival and in Rochester, MN.

Saturday, March 28th 11 Kingsland students were selected out of 4th, 5th and 6th grade auditions from across the state of Minnesota to participate in the ACDA 4-5-6 All-State Honors Choir. Students practiced for over two months to sing with some of the best singers in the state of Minnesota in their age groups.

Amazing work from some amazing students! Kingsland is so proud of your hard work and dedication to music and singing!

Congratulations to this group of musicians who received a”superior” rating and “best in site” today at the middle level solo/ensemble festival in Blooming Prairie. At the end of the festival, they performed in a recital with the three other “best in site” groups. It should also be noted that Odin also received a “superior” rating on his snare drum solo.

Today at Noon, eight Kingsland students will perform in the Southeast Minnesota Band Directors Association First and Second Year Honor Band in Lake City.

On March 22, we also had students participate in the 5-6 grade and 7-8 grade honor bands in Austin. Because I did not post a picture at that time, I have included a picture of those students as well.
