Did you know in Ohio, it is illegal to discharge consumer fireworks within 150 feet of property housing livestock, unless the livestock owner is given at least 5 days' written notice.
The distance is measured from the discharge point to the nearest property line where the animals are kept.
Ohio’s consumer-grade fireworks laws are clearly structured to protect farm animals and their owners:

The 150-Foot Rule
The Distance:
You cannot discharge any 1.4G consumer fireworks within 150 feet of any property housing livestock.

The Exception:
You can discharge fireworks inside this 150-foot zone only if you provide the livestock owner with 5 days of advance written notice. This notice must outline the specific date, time, and location of the planned display.

Liability:
The person setting off the fireworks is still responsible for any property damage or harm caused to the animals, regardless of whether notice was provided.

With all this said, please be mindful and courteous to neighbors with livestock and give us the proper notice so we can ensure our animals are safe this 4th of July.

These exciting, interactive days are perfect for kids and teens who love horses — or want to learn more!

✅ Ages 4–17

📅 2026 Training Days:
• May 23 – Grooming, Tacking & Safety
• June 20 – Colors, Markings & Breeds
• July 18 – Equine Health & First Aid

⏰ Time: 1:00–3:00 PM
💲 Cost: $50 per person

Participants will be split into age groups: 4–7 • 8–12 • 13–17

Non-students are welcome! 🐎
