ST. MARY'S SCHOOL ALUMNI NEWS!
We are very blessed to have recently ordained Deacon Christopher Epplett, who grew up here at St. Mary's, to come serve here at St. Mary's Church this coming year. This is his final year of seminary before his ordination to the priesthood next June.

He'll be at Mundelein Seminary most of the time, but will be here one weekend per month.

Congratulations to Chris Epplett - a former St. Mary's School student 🙂

Meet diocesan seminarian Christopher Epplett who, along with Jacob Zemaitis, will be ordained to the transitional diaconate May 21 by Bishop Walkowiak during Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew. Join us in person for this joyous event, or watch the live broadcast online.

Christopher, 38, is the son of Thomas and Mary Epplett. His siblings are Wendy, Delores, Tommy (deceased), Rebecca, Roberta, Joel, Jason, Ken and Tim. He is a member of St. Mary's Parish, Spring Lake, and worked in parish pastoral ministry for 11 years.

Tuesday, April 26 - SAVE ROOM FOR ICE CREAM! Tuesday is St. Mary's Cool School Day at the Front Porch in Spring Lake! Invite your family, friends and neighbors to this yummy school fundraiser! St. Mary's School will receive 10% of the total ice cream and gift certificate sales for Tuesday. The Front Porch is open from 3-9pm today!

The Front Porch The Front Porch is a great place to come and enjoy great service, a great family atmosphere, and even better homemade ice cream! With a wide variety of treats, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Conveniently located on East Savidge Street in Spring Lake, it makes for a perfect place to stop and cool off on the way home for the beach or any other summertime activity! One visit and you'll never want to go for ice cream anywhere else.

High School Graduation Mass at St. Mary's Church
St. Mary's wants to honor our graduating High School Seniors! Seniors will be celebrated at the 11:00 AM Mass on Sunday, May 15.

Some important notes:
1. Graduates must arrive at least 20 minutes early (10:40 AM) as they will be processing in with the Celebrant.
2. Graduates will sit together in reserved pews together throughout the Mass, they will receive a special blessing, and then they will take a picture in front of the Pieta (statue of Mary outside the church) in their Cap and Gowns.
3. Graduates can wear their gown at Mass, but not their cap. They can wear the cap afterwards for the picture.
4. Seating for family and friends will not be reserved and is on a first come, first serve basis.
5. This will go no later than 12:15pm.
