You may hear your Walden Green learners talking about their "work cycle" time at school! Within the prepared environment of the Montessori classroom, children are taught to complete a work cycle, which includes:

✅ Choosing an activity
✅ Completing the activity, cleaning up, and returning the materials to the proper place.

A dinosaur washing exercise in a Montessori classroom is a practical life activity that combines play with learning. It involves providing children with a container of soapy water, sponges, and toy dinosaurs, allowing them to engage in the process of cleaning the toys. 🦖

This activity supports following directions, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the development of care for their environment.
