🎉🎂 EVERYBODY STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING — IT’S JILL’S BIRTHDAY! 🎂🎉

And not just any Jill… we’re talking about our fearless leader, PTO President, the keeper of the plans, the wrangler of the chaos, and the woman somehow keeping all of us moving in the same general direction. 😂💙🐾

Being PTO President means juggling meetings, events, volunteers, approximately 947 messages, a never-ending to-do list, and the occasional “Jill… hear me out…” from the rest of us. 😬😂

Through it all, she shows up BIG for our students, teachers, staff, families, and our entire Lynx community. We are incredibly lucky to have her leading this slightly feral little PTO family of ours. 💙

So today, Madam President, your official PTO duties are:

**IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!** 🎒✏️
Happy **August 12th!**

The backpacks are packed. The alarms have gone off. Parents are caffeinated (hopefully 😂☕), and it is officially time to kick off a brand-new school year!

Before everybody heads out the door, here’s your **First Day Cheat Sheet**:

🚌 **CHECK THOSE BUS SLIPS!**
Make sure you check the bus slip sent home at Open House for your student’s **pickup AND drop-off times and locations.** Because “I think the bus comes around 7-something…” is probably not the energy we want this morning. 😂

🐾 **8:00 AM — Students may enter the building!**

🥞 **FREE BREAKFAST** is available to **ALL students** in the cafeteria beginning at 8:00 AM!

🔔 **8:30 AM — Tardy bell rings!**
Let’s get those little Lynx through the doors and ready to learn!

🎒 **3:30 PM — School dismisses!**

We hope our students, teachers, staff, and families have the BEST first day! 💙🖤

Before we officially kick off the 2026–2027 school year tomorrow, August 12th, Mrs. Lubawski has a few important First Days of School reminders to help arrival and dismissal go as smoothly as humanly possible while hundreds of tiny humans descend upon the building at once. 💙🐾

🎒 METAL DETECTORS:
All students and visitors will pass through metal detectors when entering the building. Things like eyeglass cases, binders, metal pencil boxes, and umbrellas may set them off. If your student has one of these in their backpack, please have it out and ready to hand to the staff member on duty as they enter.

⏰ ARRIVAL & SCHOOL HOURS:
Doors open and buses/car riders begin unloading at 8:00 AM. The instructional bell rings at 8:30 AM, and school dismisses at 3:30 PM.

🚗 CAR RIDER FAMILIES — patience is our bestie this week. 😂
The car rider line WILL be lengthy during the first week or so while everyone learns the routine. It gets better, promise! Please remain in your vehicle rather than parking, walking students to the door, or getting out of your car. Staff will be there to help kiddos get where they need to go.

🚌 BUS FAMILIES:
Students in Kindergarten–2nd grade MUST have someone physically at the bus stop to receive them.That means at the stop—not waiting in the car or watching from inside the house.

🍎 KINDERGARTEN FAMILIES:
Kindergarten is doing things a little differently these first few days!

✨ Last names **A–L:** Wednesday, August 12
✨ Last names **M–Z:** Thursday, August 13
✨ **ALL Kindergarten students:** Friday, August 14

Kindergarten arrival will be at **8:30 AM** for these first few days, and Kindergarten parents are permitted to walk their students inside Wednesday through Friday. Please don't line up at the doors beforehand, as it can interfere with the arrival of our other students.

📌 **IMPORTANT:** If your child's teacher gave you a different staggered-entry schedule, follow your teacher's instructions.

The first few days are always a little bit of ✨organized chaos✨ while our newest Lynx families learn the ropes, our Kindergarten babies figure out this whole "big school" thing, and everyone settles back into their routines.

Give yourselves some extra time, pack a little extra patience, and remember—we're all figuring out the first-day shuffle together. 💙🐾

We can't wait to welcome our Lynx back TOMORROW! Here's to an amazing 2026–2027 school year! 🎒📚✏️💙

Lynx Chorus auditions are coming up! 💙🐾💛

Lynx Chorus is open to 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students and gives our Lynx kiddos the chance to build confidence, learn new skills, make music together, and—of course—SHOW OFF those hidden talents! 🌟

🎤 AUDITION DATES:
🎵 3rd Grade: Monday, August 24th
🎵 4th & 5th Grade: Wednesday, August 26th

Today is **Book Lover’s Day**, and Pizza Hut + BOOK IT! + Box Tops have apparently decided to write the crossover episode we didn’t know we needed:
