Our Fall 2026 Play 'Still Life with Iris'. Written by Steven Dietz, this play was the first play for young audiences to ever win the Kennedy Center's Fund for New American Plays Award! This play is a beautiful imagining of the world of Nocturno where all the things you see during the day are made by the workers of Nocturno at night. Iris is a gifted "finder of things" and is on a quest to find her father, the Day Breaker. However, the Great Goods, who rule Nocturno, want her to be their daughter and whisk her away and in the process, she must remove her Past Coat, the garment that holds all of a person's memories. All Iris is left with is a button that brings to mind one of her last images of home, a home she doesn't remember as hers...her quest then turns to finding the owner of the button. On her way, she meets Poe's Annabelle Lee, a young Mozart and some Tunnel Kids in the Tunnel of the Unwanted...she finds out what memories mean to us, the importance of self, personal connections, and that our essence stays even if our memories do not. It's a beautiful all ages story with fun visuals and characters. We have a group of 38 cast and crew bringing this to life.

Shows run on October 15, 16, 17th at 7 pm. Run time is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes in two acts.
