Thursday will be our 🫧 FOAM PARTY 🫧

Here's is information from our PTA:

Since we raised more than $35,000 in our fundraiser, the kids are going to enjoy a FOAM PARTY this week!

Please send your student with a change of clothes (shirt, shorts, & underwear), towel, and a bag for their wet clothes this week for the foam party on Thursday. You can send these items in as early as tomorrow and they can keep them in their classroom until Thursday. The kids will get wet and messy and will need something to change into!

We are SO EXCITED to send the kids off with this reward going into fall break for all of the hard work that was put into a very successful fundraiser! Let’s get ready to FOAM PARTY!!!

Thursday was an absolute blast as our Rockets celebrated an incredible Fun Run!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing such a fun event and for all the time and effort they put into making it a success! We are also so proud of our students and families for working so hard to raise funds, and we are grateful for our teachers and staff who encouraged and supported our students every step of the way!

And the final total is… πŸ₯ OVER $36,000 RAISED! πŸ€©πŸŽ‰

Because of all that hard work, our students earned the ultimate celebration β€” a FOAM PARTY! And, if that wasn't exciting enough, Ms. Hardison will be sleeping on the roof to join in on the fun!

Way to go, Rockets! πŸ’™πŸš€

Our Rockets were blessed by Restoration Community Church during Serve Sunday! They spent time giving our school some TLC by cleaning our cafeteria. They also made our staff feel extra special with a card and a goodie bag for every staff member!

Thank you for serving our school, loving on our staff, and investing in our Rocket family! We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity! πŸš€β€οΈ

A viral social media trend involving the β€œCat in the Hat” has created concern in our community and school districts nationwide. The "Cat in the Hat" trend involves posting or sharing unsettling AI-generated images and videos of the Dr. Seuss character on social media, often accompanied with vague or direct threats to schools and lists student names.

The Maury County Sheriff’s Department and our school district have promptly investigated multiple β€œCat in the Hat” social media posts/accounts and identified the source of each threat. Appropriate school policies, disciplinary, and legal actions have been enforced.

We want to be unequivocally clear: Maury County Public Schools has zero tolerance for threats, threatening language or content that promotes or suggests violence against our schools, students, and/or staff.

Individuals who create, repost, share, forward or otherwise distribute threatening content will be subject to disciplinary ramifications at school and criminal charges. Sharing or amplifying threatening content will be treated as a threat.

We ask parents/guardians to speak with your children about responsible social media use. Anyone who discovers a threatening post naming a specific school or person should report it immediately to law enforcement.

Parents, students, and community members can also submit information about known, or possible threats of violence through the SafeTN app. Tips can be submitted 24/7 through the app. The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security will review, assess, and then send all submissions to law enforcement, mental health crisis response teams, and/or school administrators for intervention based on the information received.

Our priority is the safety of every student and employee. We will continue to investigate all credible reports, work closely with law enforcement and take appropriate action whenever a threat is identified.
