Hello, Springstead families!
Homecoming Week is finally here! We have a huge week ahead around the Nest, but before we get into everything happening, we have some Eagles to celebrate!
🎉 CELEBRATING OUR EAGLES
Congratulations to Donna Loughran, who was selected as our Springstead School-Related Employee of the Year!
Donna is one of our amazing secretaries and is always willing to step up, help wherever she is needed, and do whatever it takes to support our students, staff, and school. We are incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our Eagle family. Congratulations, Donna!
We also had the opportunity Friday to celebrate our incredible ESTs for National Custodian Day. They do so much behind the scenes every single day to take care of our school, and we appreciate everything they do for Springstead!
📚 LAST WEEK OF THE FIRST QUARTER
This is it—the final week of the first quarter!
Families, please make sure you are checking Skyward, looking at grades and missing assignments, and talking with your students about anything they still need to complete.
Students, know where you stand. Talk with your teachers, get your work completed, and take care of anything you still need to finish. Homecoming makes this an exciting and busy week, but we still have a job to do in the classroom.
Let’s finish the first quarter strong!
🎉 HOMECOMING WEEK IS HERE!
Our Cities Around the World Homecoming Week is finally here! We have dress-up days and events happening throughout the week, so get involved, show your Eagle spirit, and have some fun!
🔴🔵⚪ MONDAY — CLASS COLORS, EAGLE GAMES & FACULTY PAGEANT
Tomorrow’s dress-up theme is Class Colors, and we want to see everyone representing their class!
Freshmen — Gray
Sophomores — White
Juniors — Blue
Seniors — Red
Monday brings our Eagle Games, and we’re looking forward to seeing our classes compete, celebrate, and have some fun together!
Monday night is our Faculty Pageant. Admission is $7, with proceeds being donated to our Book Club. Come out and see some of your favorite Springstead staff members take the stage!
🤠 TUESDAY — FRAT VS. COUNTRY & BLOCK PARTY
Tuesday’s dress-up theme is Frat vs. Country!
Tuesday night is our Homecoming Block Party. The Block Party is for Springstead students only, and tickets must be purchased in advance through Hometown Ticketing.
There are also some additional expectations for the Block Party: no bags, no hoodies, and the school dress code will be enforced.
Come out, have fun, and enjoy the night while making good choices and following our expectations!
🧚 WEDNESDAY — FAIRYTALE & CLAW
Wednesday’s dress-up theme is Fairytale!
Wednesday night is CLAW! Come out and see our students perform their Homecoming skits and then stick around for our fireworks show.
CLAW is a family event, so bring your family and friends and come enjoy the performances, school spirit, and fireworks!
Homecoming Court members also have required CLAW practice Wednesday after school. Court members should meet on the football field at 2:30 PM.
📼 THURSDAY — THROWBACK THURSDAY
Thursday’s dress-up theme is Throwback Thursday!
There is no evening Homecoming event Thursday, but JV Football will be home against Weeki Wachee.
🎭 FRIDAY — RHYME WITHOUT REASON & HOMECOMING GAME
Friday’s dress-up theme is Rhyme Without Reason!
Then Friday night, come out for our Homecoming football game as the Eagles take on Fivay at 7:30 PM.
Let’s fill the stands and support our Eagles!
💃 SATURDAY — HOMECOMING DANCE
The Homecoming Dance is Saturday from 7:00–10:00 PM.
The dress for the dance is semi-formal. Jeans are not permitted.
Students who purchased an individual ticket need to bring their individual QR code for entry. Students who purchased a Homecoming bundle will check in at the designated table.
Students will be searched upon entry to ensure prohibited items are not brought into the dance.
At check-in, each student will receive two tickets: one for a dirty soda and one for their choice of food. Make sure you hang on to those tickets because you’ll need them to redeem your items with the vendors during the dance.
We’ll send a separate ParentSquare message later this week with complete arrival, check-in, and dance information so families and students know exactly what to expect Saturday night.
🎭 WINTER MUSICAL AUDITIONS — DUE TONIGHT
One final reminder for students interested in our winter musical: video auditions for A Charlie Brown Christmas are due tonight, Sunday, October 4.
Students interested in auditioning should complete the audition form and submit their video using the link below. Make sure everything is submitted before tonight’s deadline!

🍎 TEACHER OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS
Teacher of the Year nominations open Monday, October 5, and will remain open through October 19.
Nomination forms will be available in the Administration Office, and we’ll also share the nomination information through ParentSquare and social media for parents and community members who would like to nominate one of our outstanding Springstead teachers.
We have so many incredible educators doing great things for kids every day, and this is a great opportunity to recognize them!

💬 PRINCIPAL’S CORNER
Homecoming is one of those weeks that reminds us that high school is about more than just the classes you take. It’s also about the experiences, relationships, traditions, and memories you make along the way.
So get involved this week. Wear your class colors. Dress up. Cheer on your classmates. Come to an event. Support our Eagles.
But with all of that fun, remember that it’s also the last week of the first quarter. Take care of your responsibilities in the classroom, make good choices throughout the week, and then enjoy everything Homecoming has to offer.
