This month, we celebrated Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month! Our students explored different countries and cultures while using their Mucho Mundo lessons to learn about countries where Spanish is spoken.

Our Preschool 2 students also learned about the talented Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and created artwork inspired by her unique artistic style. We loved seeing their creativity shine as they explored art, culture, and self-expression!

Throughout the month of September, we explored our Belongingness unit of learning! Our little learners discovered what makes each of us unique while celebrating the many ways we are alike and different from our friends. We practiced recognizing and naming emotions using our Feelings Cards and learned that every feeling is important. Through hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, and creative projects, we celebrated the special qualities that make each of us who we are and the importance of knowing that we all belong!

🌟 The Wonder Program explored the places we call home, the fun activities we enjoy with our families, and the many ways families show love and care for one another. Our little learners also investigated their facial features and senses, discovering how we use our eyes, ears, noses, mouths, and hands to explore the world around us!

🔎 The Venture Program became little scientists as they explored the differences between living and nonliving things! Through hands-on investigations and discovery activities, students learned about the characteristics of living things and what they need to grow and thrive. They practiced observing their surroundings, asking questions, and identifying examples of living and nonliving things in the world around them.

What a wonderful month of learning, discovery, and celebrating what makes each of us special! We are so proud of our little learners and the connections they continue to build with their friends. We are all unique, we are all special, and we all belong!

Celebrating Belongingness at Primrose!

At Primrose, we believe in creating a strong sense of belongingness for every student! Throughout the month of September, our classrooms have been filled with special All About Me Boards created by our wonderful Primrose families! Each board gives our friends the opportunity to share the people, places, activities, and things that are special to them.

As we celebrate National Day of Belongingness next week, we are reminded that every child has a unique story, and every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and know that they belong.

Our friends have loved sharing their boards with their teachers and classmates. These boards have helped us celebrate the wonderful differences and similarities that make our Primrose community so special!

Katrina Laffey has a gift for creating learning experiences that are accessible, memorable and meaningful for every child. 💡

In three years at Primrose School of South Charlotte and 12 years with Primrose overall, Ms. Laffey has built a Pre-K environment that is warm, creative and inclusive. Dramatic play centers change into gardens and coffee shops, a sensory table becomes an invitation to explore and every activity is introduced with genuine enthusiasm.

Ms. Laffey doesn’t just teach. She builds experiences children and families carry with them long after the school year ends. ❤️

🎨✨Our little artists have been busy creating self-portraits for our Belongingness Art Project! Each student had the opportunity to express their individuality and celebrate what makes them special.

At Primrose, we believe in creating a strong sense of belongingness for every student. We want each child to feel valued, loved, and confident in who they are. Through art, connection, and celebrating our differences, we are building a classroom community where everyone belongs!

Starting next week, our hallways will be filled with the wonderful self-portraits our students have created! As you walk through the halls, be sure to take a peek at each masterpiece and celebrate the unique qualities that make every one of our friends so special!

You may see the packed calendar, the unfinished to-do list or the moments when you wish you could do more.

Your child sees something different. ❤️

They see the hug before drop-off. The excitement at pickup. The encouragement that helps them try again. The familiar routines that remind them they are safe, supported and loved.

This Working Parents Day, we’re celebrating every parent balancing so much while continuing to show up with love. You are making more of a difference than you know.

Share this with a working parent who needs to hear it today. 📨

The best part of a new school year might just be the stories that come home each day.

The new friend they met. The picture they're proud of. The classroom tradition they can't stop talking about. The little moments that help school start to feel like a second home. ✨

Across Primrose schools, students are settling into new routines, building connections and creating memories that families will remember long after this school year ends.

What's one story, moment or accomplishment your child couldn't wait to tell you about after school? Share in the comments below or post a photo of them enjoying the new school year. 📸

Amanda Frost helps children grow in ways families never imagined possible. 🌱

At Primrose School of O'Fallon at WingHaven, Mrs. Frost pays close attention to every student’s progress, and she differentiates instruction and adapts lessons in real time to meet each child’s individual needs.

Children leave her classroom emotionally prepared for kindergarten and academically ahead of expectations. Mrs. Frost has built a classroom culture so warm and consistent that children who once struggled with anxiety, transitions or self-confidence walk out ready for what comes next.

When offered a leadership position this year, she chose to stay with her students. That choice says everything. ❤️

When children at Primrose School of Carmel explored community helpers, they learned that kindness can be delivered in many ways. 💌

And they put that lesson into action by surprising their local mail carrier, Mr. Greg, with handmade thank-you cards, colorful posters and heartfelt messages. It was a sweet way to celebrate an everyday helper who makes a big difference in their community.

Angela Levingston has spent 24 years turning everyday lessons into unforgettable learning experiences. 🌟

In Mrs. Levingston’s classroom, a sheet of yellow poster board becomes a New York City skyline, simple materials transform into a three-ring circus, and a classroom wall turns into the world of Charlotte’s Web.

Behind every transformation is purposeful teaching: smooth transitions, clear expectations and meaningful learning woven into each experience. She proves again and again that extraordinary education is both an art and a science.

Her impact lives in the confidence she builds, the character she nurtures and the guidance she shares with colleagues. Twenty-four years in, Mrs. Levingston is still the standard. ❤️
