🐯✨ You’re Invited to Lead! ✨🐯

During lunch on Tuesday, 20 students were invited to serve on the 26-27 Safety Patrol team a Westside. They submitted essays to explain why they would be a good team member, and school leader, making the decisions even tougher!

Being invited to join our Safety Patrol Team is a BIG deal! These students have been trusted to be leaders, role models, and positive examples for our Tiger family. 🖤💛 We’re excited to watch them step up, serve others, and show what it means to learn, lead, and grow! 🐯👏

🌱🍅 Growing, Learning & Thriving at Westside! 🐯💛

Mrs. Dieter’s Tigers are getting their hands dirty—and their minds growing! 🌿✨ In their hydroponic garden, students are growing lettuce and cherry tomatoes, while the planters are sprouting peas, beans, and marigolds. With grow lights helping our plants thrive, our students are excited to watch their hard work turn into something they can see, nurture, and celebrate!

This is at Westside—creating hands-on experiences, growing curious learners, and giving our Tigers opportunities to learn, lead, and grow! 🌱🐯

WE DID IT, TIGERS! 🐯🙌 Our first week of school is officially in the books—and what a week it was! From new friendships and big smiles to learning, growing, and getting back into our Tiger routines, we’re off to an AMAZING start!

Deputy Vega has been hard at work teaching lessons on raising, lowering, and folding the flag with some of our former Safety Patrol trainees from last year. These Tigers, and several others, submitted applications to be official Safety Patrollers now that they’re in 5th grade.

Big thanks to Bree, William, Amiyah, and former safety patroller Quinn for offering to take on this important task this week!

Deputy and Ms. Williams will be reviewing their essays and making a team announcement next week. We can’t wait to meet this year’s team!
