An update from Ava Roberts:
It’s hard to believe that in such a short amount of time, I’ve had not one, but two strokes. This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through, both physically and emotionally. Recovery has been slow, and I’m still not back to normal. I’m still very wobbly, get dizzy easily, and I’m learning how to walk with confidence again. Some days are harder than others, but I am making progress, and for that I’m so thankful. I also want to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who has followed my journey, prayed for me, donated, checked in on me, or simply kept me in your thoughts. Your love, kindness, and support have meant more to me than I could ever put into words. You have helped carry me through some of the hardest days of my life. I know so many of you have reached out with messages, comments, prayers, and words of encouragement. If I haven’t responded yet, please know it isn’t because I don’t appreciate you. Everything has been incredibly overwhelming, and this recovery has been much harder than I ever imagined. I’m taking things one day at a time, and I promise I’ll get to everyone as I’m able. I want each of you to know that I do see your love and support, and I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. Please continue to keep me in your prayers as I continue to heal. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m trusting that I’ll get there one step at a time. Thank you all for standing by my side, believing in me, and helping me through this journey. I truly couldn’t do it without you.
