Today, on World Teachers’ Day, Bishop celebrates the educators who bring our mission to life every day.

Our teachers do far more than teach a subject. They challenge, encourage, guide, and help form each student in mind, body, and soul.

We are grateful for the dedication, patience, faith, and care they bring to our classrooms and to the Bishop community.

Most importantly, we are grateful for the difference they make in the lives of our students every single day, helping them grow in confidence, character, faith, and purpose.

Thank you for helping form the young people they are becoming.

We Are Bishop.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS

Something special is taking shape on the EDPAC stage.

Our cast and crew of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe are hard at work bringing the world of Narnia to Bishop, from the students you’ll see onstage to the lighting, sound, costumes and creative work happening behind the scenes.

Dr. Moore recently stopped by rehearsal to see the students at work and get a preview of what is coming.

Mark your calendars for October 16 and 17 in the Eleanor Dempsey Performing Arts Center.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Narnia. Ticket links available in bio

EXPERIENCE BISHOP

Choosing a high school is about more than academics. It is about finding a community where your child will be known, supported, challenged, and formed in faith.

Join us for an Open House at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School: Wednesday, October 21 - 6:00–8:00 PM

Tour our campus, meet students, coaches, faculty, and explore Bishop’s college-preparatory academics, athletics, performing arts, Campus Ministry, clubs, and student life.

Families will also have the opportunity to learn about scholarships and discover the value and affordability of a Catholic education. Transportation options are available for families throughout the region.

Applications are now open for the 2027–2028 school year and the incoming Class of 2031.

At Bishop, students do not get lost in the crowd. They discover their gifts, deepen their faith, and prepare for what comes next.

Tuesday’s first Bishop Volleyball Invitational was about more than the final score.

While our Hurricanes faced a tough River Ridge, the gym was filled with Bishop spirit as our entire student body came together as one school to cheer on their classmates and housemates.

It was a great reminder that win or lose, we show up for one another, celebrate our student-athletes, and stand together as a Bishop family.

Proud of our Hurricanes. Proud of our student body. We Are Bishop.

WHAT IS CANE VS. CANE?

If you’re new to Bishop, you may be wondering where the name comes from!

Cane vs. Cane starts with a little friendly competition. Bishop parents go head-to-head in our annual cooking competition, serving up their best dishes while guests taste, vote and help crown this year’s Cane vs. Cane champion.

But the competition is just the beginning.

On October 24, at 6:00 PM, Bishop becomes Vegas for the night with:

🎲 Casino games
🎶 DJ and music
🍸 Mobile bar
🎁 Auction and prizes
🤝 A great night with Bishop parents and friends

And the fun has a purpose. Proceeds from Cane vs. Cane will once again support continued improvements to our Bishop courtyard.

New to Bishop? Come experience Cane vs. Cane!
