💛 Today was the last day for some of our Praying Hands children, and while we are so sad to see them leave, we are also incredibly proud of the amazing little people they have become. Watching them grow, learn, and reach new milestones has been such a blessing, and we are so excited to see what the future holds for each of them! 🥹✨

We truly love our little Praying Hands family, and even though some of our children are moving on, they will always be a part of our family. As new children come through our doors, they will become part of that family too. ❤️

To our families leaving us, please know that you are always welcome to stop by and visit! You can also bring your little ones back during the summer. We would love to see those familiar little faces again! 🥰

We are going to miss you all SO much, but we are excited for this new school year and all the memories to come! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your children's lives. We love you all! 💕

Happy teacher appreciation week!

Every year during Teacher Appreciation, daycare teachers are overlooked.

We’re told we aren’t “real teachers”… that we’re just babysitters.

But the truth is — without daycare teachers, many children would walk into school completely unprepared. TV doesn’t teach children. Daycare teachers do.

We create lesson plans.
We teach letters, numbers, colors, and social skills. We track development and do evaluations.

And on top of all that…

We change diapers.
We wipe noses.
We clean up mess after mess after mess.
We break up toy battles.
We comfort the child crying at drop-off.
We keep them safe every single minute.
We clean, bandage, and kiss the boo-boos.

We are doing the work of a teacher — and so much more.
We are their first classroom.
Their safe place.
Their comfort zone.
Their protector.
Their friend.

Daycare teachers ARE teachers… and we are the foundation of education.

I see daily what my staff at Hadley Day Care Center does for your kids and its above and beyond the call of "teacher" its pure joy and beauty to watch.
