Challenger K8 is a public Magnet School with a focus on Science and Mathematics and is home to the Quest Academy for the Gifted. We serve 1400 students in grades K - 8 and employ 140 high performing faculty and staff. Challenger K8 is an "A" rated school and offers a very rigorous curriculum and culturally rich learning environment for our students. Challenger K8 offers a very wide variety of spo

rts and after school programs for students and believes strongly in fostering well rounded experiences for students. The talents and passion of the staff and students of CK8 help it maintain its reputation of academic and extracurricular excellence. Our Magnet and Quest students stand out as leaders, and our graduates excel in secondary school and beyond, having a positive impact on their community. Students and Mrs. Day’s All-Star class is letting each other know what they know about all things electricity as they tackle unit 10 in Benchmark Advance, the power of electric electricity. They will revisit the blueprint and see if they’ve added some knowledge through their fiction and non-fiction reading.

Barrety’s Bunch has worked hard as they begin their leadership journey in 2nd grade! Through Leader in Me, they are learning to be proactive, take ownership of their choices, set goals, and discover the leadership voice. Students have began to use their Leadership Flight Logs and spent time the first week of school applying for their leadership role in class. Students were asked to identify which habits were their strength and how those would help for the role they were applying for🧡💙

Mrs. Barrett and Mrs. Liberty are so proud of the growth they are already showing as they learn that they can make a difference, lead by example, and help create a positive classroom community. We can’t wait to see where their leadership journey takes them! 🌟
