✨ **THANK YOU!!** ✨

The kids at Rooted Life Academy LOVE playing “shop!” 🛒 They’ve gotten super creative over the years and have even used dominoes as cash 😂, but I wanted to find a way to make their play even more fun—and add some real-world learning along the way!

This summer, I posted in a local homeschooling Facebook group asking if anyone had a cash register their children had outgrown and no longer needed.

A day or two later, this cash register showed up at my door from Amazon! 🥹 There was no gift receipt or note, so I have no idea who sent it. Whoever you are, we want to say a HUGE **THANK YOU!!** What an incredibly kind surprise! ❤️

Then, another sweet friend happened to find a cash register at a garage sale for **$1!!!!** and grabbed it for us, so now we have TWO! 🙌

When I tell you the kids are going to be LOVING these cash registers, I mean they are going to be **L-O-V-I-N-G** them!! 😂 Seriously.

I can already picture all of the shops, restaurants, stores, and other creative ideas they’re going to come up with—and all the counting, adding, making change, problem-solving, communicating, and imaginative play happening right alongside it.

So THANK YOU to both of the incredibly thoughtful people who helped make our little “shop” even better. 💛 We are so grateful for the people who support Rooted Life Academy and help make learning here so much fun!

📚 Ability-Based Learning 📚

Did you know our reading and math groups are based on each child's learning level—not simply their age?

This allows students to be appropriately challenged while building confidence and experiencing success every step of the way.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed by material that's too difficult or with concepts they've already mastered, students receive instruction that meets them where they are and helps them continue to grow.

In our small-group setting, children are encouraged to ask questions, take risks, and celebrate progress. We believe every child deserves to learn at a pace that helps them develop both strong academic skills and a love of learning.

🌿 Hands-On, Real-World Learning!

We believe children learn best when they're actively engaged.

From hands-on math games to science investigations and creative projects, learning comes alive at Rooted Life Academy.

Whether we're running our Class Store, celebrating Earth Day, conducting science experiments, or solving real-world problems together, students experience learning in meaningful ways that help concepts truly stick.

Children don't just sit at desks all day—they move, create, explore, collaborate, ask questions, and discover. By engaging with learning in active, hands-on ways, they're able to build deeper understanding, stronger critical thinking skills, and a genuine love of learning.

One of my favorite parts of our multi-age classroom is watching students learn from one another.

Older students naturally encourage younger ones, while younger students gain confidence by seeing what's ahead.

It's one of the many things that makes our learning community so special.

🍃 Enrollment is almost complete!

We have just a few openings remaining for the 2026–2027 school year.

If you haven’t signed up for Kids Bowl Free - make sure to do so ASAP!! Kids can bowl 2 games each day, Monday through Thursday, for free until October 31!!

It’s a great thing to have on deck for super hot/humid day or rainy days when you need to get out of the house. It’s also fun to meet up with other friends too!!

Reminiscing on our last week of school already 🥹☀️

We packed SO much fun into our final days together:
✨ Building forts in PJs with our favorite stuffies
✨ Memory books
✨ An epic dance party
✨ Tie dye fun
✨ Tons of games
✨ Shopping at Class Store
✨ Crafting ALL the things — Perler beads, origami bookmarks, air dry clay, bracelets, and more
✨ Looking back at how much we’ve grown and changed since the beginning of the year
✨ A movie day
✨ Pizza party fun

…and so many sweet memories in between. ❤️

What a gift this school year has been. I’m so thankful for this amazing group of kids and the joy, laughter, growth, and friendships we shared together this year.
