🚨🖤❤️🐾Good Morning, Powell Families

We have had a great first few days and we look to continue the positive momentum. We would like to remind our parents to please not allow students to exit cars on Barclay Ave. or Powell Rd. This is a safety concern. Additionally, the only monitored pickup and drop off areas are those on our campus and designated cross walks. Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to our students safety. Go Panthers!🐾❤️🖤🚨

🐾We have received many questions regarding our Fall sports and tryout information. Please note that tryouts will take place during the first week of school for Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading, and Golf. All students must be cleared through Athletic Clearance BEFORE they can tryout and clearances can take up to 48 hours to go through. We have attached a step-by-step directions sheet for completing this process. Please see the dates below for each sport's designated tryout and reach out to the office with any questions.🐾

🐾We know that many of you are eager to get out and shop for Back to School items. Please note that middle school is different than elementary school in that each student has 7 different teachers and each teacher has different requests. For now, basic supplies (paper, pens & pencils, highlighters, and folders) will suffice. Once students get a syllabus for their specific classes you will have a more formal list of what your student needs.

Dress code is always a highly anticipated topic as well. We have created a presentation (attached) for you to view that hopefully answers any questions you may have. The full dress code is also attached.🐾

🐾Welcome to the Powell Middle School Family 🐾

We are excited to kick off a new school year with everyone. We know the transition to middle school can be both exciting and a little scary, but we're here to support you every step of the way. We look forward to seeing everyone at our schedule pick-up on Thursday, August 6th from 2:00-5:00pm where students will receive their schedules and have the opportunity to walk the campus. Schedules will post to Skyward on Friday morning (8/7/26) if you are unable to attend and we will have a formal Open House where parents can meet the teachers September 2, 2026.

Over the next few days we'll be sharing important information about dress code, school supplies, pick-up and drop-off procedures, sports/tryout information, and other back-to-school updates. If you haven't already, be sure to follow our page so you don't miss any important announcements.

We can't wait to welcome our Panthers and make this an amazing school year!
