🩷 Today, pink meant a little more. 🩷
I (Mrs. Graffunder) am truly appreciative of the many students throughout our school who chose to wear pink today as we begin Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Sometimes we may not realize how powerful a simple gesture can be. Wearing a pink shirt may seem small, but to someone who has faced breast cancer, is currently walking through it, or has watched someone they love fight this battle, it means more than you know.
Today, I looked around our school and saw more than a color. I saw kindness. Compassion. Awareness. Support. I saw young people choosing to stand beside others and remind them that they are surrounded by a community that cares.
To every student and staff member who wore pink today—thank you. 🩷
You may never fully understand the impact of that simple choice, but please know that it was noticed, it was appreciated, and it touched my heart deeply.
This October, may we continue to wear pink, spread awareness, support those fighting, celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and above all, choose kindness whenever we have the opportunity.
Because sometimes the smallest gestures carry the biggest messages. 🩷
