A great article about our court renovations! 💙💛

Apollo-Ridge School District

A renovated multi-use sport court at Apollo-Ridge High School now bears the name of a graduate who held his school in high regard and who made sure his family and friends knew he cared so much for them. Rain didn’t dampen the mix of enthusiasm and emotion last Monday as

💙💛 Caleb’s Court is officially open! 💙💛

Even the rain couldn’t stop us! Tonight was such a special evening as we gathered to officially dedicate Caleb’s Court — a space created to honor the life and memory of Caleb Altmire, A-R class of 2002, and the lasting impact he had on so many.

What began as a vision to breathe new life into our courts has become something much bigger: a place for our students and community to play, learn, move and connect for years to come.

We are incredibly grateful to the Altmire Family for their generosity and for allowing us to honor Caleb in such a meaningful way. Thank you also to our Apollo-Ridge administration, teachers and staff, A-REF trustees, EITC partners, contractors, donors and community members who helped bring this project to life.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening was watching Caleb’s niece and nephew take shots on the court. 💙🏀

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight to celebrate, remember and officially open this very special place.

We appreciate our Maintenance team for all of their hard work both inside and outside our campus, every day!

📣 Coming Fall 2026 - Pickleball Courts!

In addition to other funds & donations (keep your eyes out for fundraising opportunities 🤓), we received approval to use EITC funds (thank you donors! 🤩) to renovate our current tennis courts!

Our teachers 🧑‍🏫 developed integrative academic programs that will support this initiative by combining physical activity with rigorous academic study in biology, anatomy, physiology, and human movement! 🏃

We are extremely excited for students, teachers and our COMMUNITY to benefit from this renovation! 👏
