Hello Prospective Music Students!! 💙🎼✨

We have four designated audition days for the 2026-2027 year!
Music Audition Day - Monday, November 16
Music Audition Day - Monday, January 25 (Scholarship Day)
Music Audition Day - Monday, March 8
Music Audition Day - Monday, April 2

Music scholarships are available to students who audition into the music program and for students who participate in our ensembles. If you are interested in a scholarship, please fill out the application by clicking the link in our bio!
Please have two contrasting pieces (lyrical and technical) prepared in advance. If you need an accompanist, please contact [email protected]. Instrumentalists will be requested to play two major scales on their primary instrument from memory. Vocalists will be requested to sing one major and one minor scale.

▪︎ FACULTY SPOTLIGHT ▪︎

Meet Ethan Roberts, a new music faculty member here at SAU!!

Prof. Roberts is originally from Katy, Texas, and received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma.
More recently, he received his Masters Degree in Saxophone Performance from Michigan State University.
While his primary instrument is saxophone, he will also be teaching clarinet lessons and conducting!

We are so excited to welcome Prof. Roberts to SAU Music!

▪︎ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT ▪︎

Meet Wesley, an incoming Music Education major from Oxford, Michigan!.🌿🎶

Along with his interest in music education, Wes also wants to look into music ministry.

He is planning to participate in our concert choir, jazz band, and concert band, as well as planning to join one of our worship teams at some point.
Wesley has been playing in gigs and traveling around southern Michigan for years on his primary instrument, jazz guitar. Recently, Wes performed at the Michigan Jazz Festival as part of the All-Star Band.

While Wesley's main instrument is jazz guitar, he is also proficient with bass, piano, and drums!

We are so excited to welcome Wes to SAU Music, and we look forward to seeing where his talent leads him next 💛

An off-campus semester with CMC Nashville is included in this degree, but is open to all!
